I've got about 15 extra pounds I've been lugging around. I don't look "bad" but I know I'd look and feel much better without this extra weight.

I'm a pseudo vegetarian (I eat fish ever so often, but strict otherwise) and don't eat junk food, sweets or drink pop - I've been that way for years. After trying several diets with no success, I've just found my problem: I'm not eating enough (about 700-1000 cals per day, and I wasn't even aware.) And what I am eating, isn't balanced. So apparently my bod has been hanging on to every calorie in fear that it won't get another.

I found a site that you can use online to track your personal intake in the form of a food journal. And it's FREE! And confidential. I'm totally aware that it's rude to post that information here in our forum, but if you send me a PM, I'll be glad to share it, (unless some of the other regulars say it's OK to post here.)

So, I have a trip to take in October, and a fabulous pair of jeans I'd like to wear while on the trip. Anyone else want to join me on my quest to shed a few pounds?

i'm currently working on my weight as well :)

i gained 12 kg in 2 years because i got handicapped and couldn't walk anymore. my ass has become huge!

my diet works on boosting my calorie intake. it's a slow way of dieting, but at least i can stuff myself! :)

i eat:
06:00
2 slices of bread with cheese
vitamin supplements

10:00
2 slices of bread with cheese or jam

11:00
apple

12:00
2 slices of bread with cheese or meat

14:00
2 slices of bread with cheese

16:00
orange

19:30
big plate of salad with fruit, fish, anything i like (no dressing, just oil)
big plate of vegetables, little bit of meat, with pasta or bread on the side

20:30
bit of cheese or handful of nuts

i drink 3 liters of fluid during the day, mostly water or tea.
no potatoes, no extra sugar.

total calorie intake is 1300-1600 kcal depending on the kind of dinner i eat. i can even hit mcD's one day a week and still lose weight! YAY!

i lost 4 kg in 4 weeks, now i'm eating a little bit less to make sure i get a steady weight.. not the yo-yo idea. next month i'm going to do the same trick.

i love this diet because i can stuff myself. if i want to stop losing weight, all i have to do is eat less and it all turns back to normal. no rumbling stomach! :)

I doubt that your ass is huge! But this plan sounds reasonable. And slow and steady weightloss is smart! Great that you've lost 4kg already...

I don't eat a lot of bread...if I eat a piece of bread in a week, it's a lot! So this sounds like a lot of bread to me.

Good timing. I started my own quest today. I also have some extra pounds that I really would like to get rid of. I have problems with my upper back, and when I was going to school full-time and working, I was really too tired to do anything but eat and sleep when I got home. Now I'm finished school, and have quit my awful job, so I have no excuses left.

My dad and I went to the gym this morning for the first time in a very long while, and I intend to go at least three times a week, and keep a much better eye on what I eat, and severely cutting down my coffee intake.

So yes, I'm in.
