New Question of the Day for Sunday: what's your favorite Sunday Newspaper Comic -- and why?
|
there's no newspaper on sunday!
except for de telegraaf. but that's mostly populist exaggerated crap about how the dog of mrs bakker was bitten by a bigger dog and that therefore all bigger dogs than mrs bakker's dog should immediately become illegal. ergo, no sunday newspaper comic! |
when I used to read them:

The Simpsons: only electronic. I can't take the newsprint on my fingers!
|
Calvin and Hobbes by e-mail. I don't like newspaper cluttering up my place. I like it because its humour is similar to Charlie Brown's, but a lot less gloomy. Well, sometimes. And I'm in love with Hobbes, I have a dancing Hobbes on my desktop at work to cheer me up.
|
i dont know how to read.

Mo-Fri: Coming home from work; in summer: Sitting out on the balcony, enjoying the evening.
Sa&Sun: No particular moment, but more like Frieda's Quote:
enjoying weekend in general, sometimes more. |
The walk from home to work.
It's usually quite early, not too many people, empty, sleepy Main Street, a few people at the market unloading fruit and vegetables, familiar faces of dog-walkers and regular passer-bys who share the same route. By the time I get to work, it becomes busier, more traffic, screeching trams, more people. Also, it's nice to look at the trees, when leafless, when buds appear, the first beautiful green of grass (it later turns to greyish-green). The most beautiful thing is yest to come: when the row of Japanese cherry-trees starts to blossom. And after that, the soft pink snow of petals. It takes about 40 minutes: a time to see, a time to think, a time to plan. After that it's work time. |
making my first cup of tea

waking up.
|
sitting on the couch with my feet on the ottoman and the cats' favorite quilt over my legs when the third and last cat jumps up and maneuvers itself between the other two, and we all fall back to sleep.

Hitting 'any key', to turn off my screensaver...
