I am on the 4th Harry Potter, and I think they are absolutely enchanting.

agreed, though the argument is based purely on the amount of marketing hype generated by those five books.
bought the Polar Express for christmas- instantly I was six again. obviously, The Hobbit/Lord of the Rings gets a shout. Phantom Tollbooth is a favorite. A Wrinkle in Time. Anyone ever read any of David Eddings stuff? |

oh yes, I saw the movie poster while standing in line for return of the king. I purchased the book earlier that day. serendip.
I'm not too sure how I feel about it just yet. edited to add: excellent animation, especially with the faces. and I respect those artists... it's just... part of my childhood is up for sale now ![]() Last edited by dalang : 01-14-2004 at 07:23 PM. |

There is no book in this world that makes me feel like I do when I read The Phanotom Tollbooth by Norton Juster. No other book. Sometimes the Bible comes close, but the Bible does something else completely different for me.

Yes, I am a dork. I like Harry Potter. I wish I had a wand. And a flying broom. I honestly didn't think I would be interested in reading them, until I walked around the bookstore and library for 2 days and found nothing. I borrowed these from my cousin. They're pretty catchy. What's up with children's lit. these days? They sure don't make them like they used to, in fact, what do children these days read?
Oh, and Narnia. I loved those, read them all more than once.
