Hell no. I waste huge amounts of time using unimaginable search terms based on vague memory, or sometimes not so vague but I want to reread the original and get that frisson all over again.

Wow... I completely missed this whole thing.

In the past I've made comments along the line of "this is a public message board... ".

By pointing that out I meant only to say that we're not exactly hanging out in Ze's living room (which would imply some kind of privacy--at least an implied limit to those in the room).

Here in Fast Chat we're screaming our thoughts in an open-air bistro next to a sidewalk leading down to a train station at rush hour. As such, we should not be surprised by any reaction to one of our posts.

Some old grandma passing by may break down in tears at the same post that would make a buff guy say "OH YEAH? WELL FVCK YOU YA PANTYWAIST!"

Sounds like the >4000 posters got some of that "living room" feeling. Sounds nice.

What one person sees as "unkindness," another person sees as truth.

Most people don't like to hear the truth. It's usually an ugly thing that involves self-evaluation.

Hi Marge! That was profound!

Meanwhile, it's late and I tried to read this whole thread with so many good comments. It's a friendly place most of the time.

And, yes, we're no longer on the honor system, are we. There's a law for everything.

We still have the freedom to post as we please however.

Having slept on it, just wanted to write that we are all here for personal reasons.

That we are all different and respectful of those differences, regardless of the usual reasons, is what keeps me coming back. Enjoyment of the wit and intelligence among these troups of monkeys is wild and fun.

Whatever anybody posts reflects only on them. Posing in whatever thread seems interesting, amusing or serious is up to each monkey.

There are stages of life, each with priorities. If some want to write, what is writing without readers? Gainful use of time can be anything each of us decides. Hey, if you want to ignore me, it's your loss.

In my opinion those with the most life experience are an asset to this cyber place, however, without young people where would we be? Some diatribes against a post or two of mine are best ignored. Honi soit qui maly pence.
