They're making "Coraline" into a movie. It's one of my favorite books, so I hope they don't screw it up too much. The director is Henry Selick (the director of "James and the Giant Peach" and "The Nightmare Before Christmas"), so I'm thinking it'll all be stop-action, which would be AWESOME, because that's how I imagine it.

just watched The Vanishing

i like the book better. and the original movie. if you're interested, go watch "spoorloos" (1988) or read the book "het gouden ei" by Tim Krabbé.

I’ve heard good things about the new Hitchhiker’s Guide movie - I doubt it will be as good as the book, but it might still be pretty good.

I read One Flew Over The Cukoos Nest after the movie and Jack's performance really enhanced the character.

The Hours movie was not nearly as good as the book
ditto for House of Sand and Fog
(altough I enjoyed, and bought, both movies)

ffs! they are making a hollywood version of 'fever pitch' by nick hornby, a fantastic book about the obsessive nature of british football fans.

so they set it the states and make it about baseball.

the Princess Bride was just as good if not better than the book.

The Girl with a Pearl Earring book was TONS better than the movie. I was SO VERY disappointed.
