Exclamation IiiiiiiI'm going to a connnnnncerrrrrrt!

All by my seeeeellllllllf!

Si, I am a leetle scared, but I don't think it'll be too awful. All I have to do is find a REALLY close parking garage and book it to the venue.

My concert buddy never called, and I don't have her number, so poo, but hoo-and-ray for the FOO!

Dear Dave Grohl,
Please be good to me tonight...I've had a crappy pappy day and I could use a good time. Yer hot.
Beck.

I never thought before tonight that I could actually be smitten with someone who publically smokes, drinks, curses like a sailor, and includes porn in his ballad videos. Darn that David Grohl!

Anyway, tonight's concert was the Foo Fighters with special guests Pete Yorn and the Dirty Birds and The Special Goodness. This is how it went down:

The Special Goodness:
All sorts of good hippity-hoppity pop rock, fun to listen to, kept me interested...

Pete Yorn and the Dirty (Little?) Birds:
Good stuff, sadly, it was the kind of music I'd listen to if I wanted to go to sleep. I was yawning through the whole set. They concluded their set with For Nancy, all in all a lovely little set, albiet better fit for Sokol, impressive nonetheless. Also, Pete looks real handsome in pink lights. They flatter him.

Foo Fighters:
This is the set list as best I knew the songs (which in many cases, I didn't):
One By One
There Goes My Hero (kicked arse w/this one)
Times Like These (I was smiling like a wee little girl the ENTIRE song)
[insert a few songs I'd never heard before]
Learning To Fly
[insert a few more songs I'd never heard before, and one that was so awesome I almost stopped breathing...]
Monkey Wrench
*end*
ENCORE
some cover
Water (DANG THAT'S A GREAT SONG!)
[insert title of song I've heard before but don't know the title of]

Only song they didn't play was the one that Ed is using as it's theme song at the moment. I REALLY wanted to hear that one, but poo. No such luck.

Highlights of the night:
-being pat down...first time I've ever let anyone to second base...and all without buying me dinner or smooth-talking me over first
-the row of beer-guzzling men my father's age sitting in front of me
-the feeling Zack de la Roca was in the room, oblivious to his obvious attempts to draw unto himself a crowd...
-no smoking, although everyone smelled like either Cloves or patchouli
-Snoop Dogg between sets
-the kid sitting next to me looked just like John Cusack circa Sixteen Candles--trenchcoat and everything!!!

Man it was a goooooood night.

concerts are cool!

i went to Tom Jones on sunday! weeeeeeeee!!

he had this little beard and mustache.. that was pretty weird. but that old monkey can sure sing! man, i love his voice! and the backup vocals were great too.

from time to time i was a bit scared that he would get a heart attack, but he kept on singing and even dancing and making sexy moves! wooo hoooo!

he did a lot of songs from his new cd, Mr Jones, which he did with Wyclef Jean, like Younger Days, Tom Jones International, Whatever It Takes and Black Betty. i love the song Younger Days.

he did a lot of the oldies too, Delilah, What's New Pvssycat, It's Not Unusual.. and Sex Bomb of course, and Kiss.. he is so cool. i love you, Tom Jones! wooo hooooo!

Hmmmm

Frieda keeps on referring to David Hasselhoff, and goes to see Tom Jones in concert......

And she showed great interest in Rune's chest wig......

I sense a certain pattern emerging here......

Methinks the lady doth protest too much....

Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, the evidence is before you. It is up to you to make your mind up!
