Um, 'lo all. I am not a crazy new person. Registered years ago, lurk often, post hardly ever.

Avalon, I have a cat named Bamalam. He is black, and when I brought him home from the shelter he came running in from another room and did one of those freaky jump up and turn around in mid-air cat jumps. My husband said, "Whoa, black kitty!", I replied with you-know-what, and my unfortunate kitty got his name. The other cat's name is Bwian. As in, "Wewease Bwian!"

Back on topic: I often have They Might Be Giants' "Istanbul (Not Constantinople)" in my head, but to be honest, I don't mind so much, unless I wind up singing "SO! Take me back..." out loud at inappropriate moments.

My 9yr old daughter has had a black cat for about 3yrs now and she named him Oreo because he's dark all over except for a little white in his middle...just like the cookie.

I hate it when I have a song stuck in my head that I can't get rid of...not until I hear the song that is. It's like a musical craving. The one I usually have stuck in my head is The Show Must Go On (Queen).

That reminds me of the time my friend and her younger sister got a rabbit a couple of years ago, but couldn't agree on his name. My friend wanted to name it Flopsy, but her sister was in love with the name Oreo (even the rabbit looks NOTHING like one...), so they compromised, and named him "Flopsy-Oreo." Which, as my friend pointed out, sounds like a cookie left out in the rain too long

Definitely creepy... looking at Nimoy's face, this clip has to be at least 40 years old... just to think that someone would keep a turkey like this clip around that long is frightening... what else are they keeping in their closets?
