Just because the guy likes meth and massages from gay prostitutes; how does that make him gay?
I mean really, who doesn't like a little meth and massage now and then? Seriously though, I just don't like how people are trying to politicize this so much. This should have no impact on 2006 midterm election here in the US. He is not running for office, and he does not speak for most Republicans, yet they are making that out to be the case. They have Haggard, and we have Kerry as useless distractors during this election... |

Here's a interview from yesterday, local news station. So, where do you think they met? Last edited by l'azizza : 11-04-2006 at 04:31 PM. |

the conservative christian movement has made everything "gay" the frontrunning issue in manymanymany campaigns. this INEVITABLY puts this story in a position that has impact on the 2006 midterm election.

The gay issue is still going to be there, no matter who is outed, be it a preacher, or just your average joe.
There will be people from now until the end of time who will fight pro-gay legislation, and there will always be people within that circle who long to cuddle with their own gender. This does not make the issue any more important or less important, it just weeds out one of the hypocrites when they are outed. It does not detract from the Christian elements debate. Let me clear something up before I get any farther, I have nothing against homosexuals or gay marriage etc...None of that bothers this Republican. I say we have more important issues to combat. Now, I do not attend church, and I do not live my life by the word of the lord, so that is not an issue for me. The people who do though, say the bible forbids that. Who am I to say that is not an important issue to them? So, some of them take that very seriously, I think it is a little whacky, but hey, religion is wacky sometimes... |
