This wonderfull book was written by a french writer, Marguerite Yourcenar (by the way she was the first woman admitted by the machiste French Academy).
Is the kind of books where we can find millons of subjects (sthetics, philosophy, humanism, etc). It's a sort of ognion, we remove one and underneath there is other, and other, and other.
Also a fascinating story!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
