high scores are relative for the moment...having a faster processor gives one an unfair advantage, slower processors take longer to render each frame of of the game but still can keep accurate track of the amount of time that has passed...

I need to work this out...I might add a processor check in the beginning of the game...or I might count discreet renderings instead of seconds...

I work at an ISP , so I'm online at least 9 hours a day working

my processor is just a pentium 733 , no too fast ,

still working on that gentle landing thing?
It would be cool if you spread it out a bit and made it so that you had to land the craft gently like in Lunar Lander.

Isn't the best way to test this is to have a level where your landing platform is on top of the screen exactly above the starting platform ? This way you only have to accelerate , no stearing whatsoever.
Now everyone should have the exact same high-score , if someone is still able to do it faster , it's not fixed!

You might test this only for a few hours , I don't think people would find the level very challenging

As for this level , Reneeke and I get the same high-score , so it looks like it's fixed...

o yeah , to get the high-score , you have to go full speed between the first and second anti-gravity-things and land on top of the platform , if you go underneath them you're fastest time will be 4.82 sec.

currently I'm checking frames instead of time...I can up the frame rate so there are more possible discrepancies between scores...but if you think about it, there is a "best" way to play.

trying to come up with an "equalizing constant" would be far less accurate.

there's 2 -3 people still cheating almost every level , when do they get enough?

it would be cool if "play again" only took you to the high scores page again if you had the slightest chance of actually being listed there... otherwise it would be good to just have at it again... right now it just seems like it's taunting me.
