i dont know if anyone is still around...lol...but i thought i'd ask about beach reads. i know i started a beach reads thread earlier in the year, but it seems to have vanished.
i am going to cuba on saturday - woo hoo! - and would like to know if anyone can suggest a good beach read. thanks

I found Atonement by Ian McEwan a satisfactory beach read this year. And the film comes out early 2008.

thanks for the invite, frieda. i just miss the fun we used to have with "good reading". i really only post about books and travel, and ive got a great travel site.
i am heading to the mayan riviera on saturday, south of cancun, and im searching for a book to take. i just finished a thousand splendid suns by khaled (the kite runner) hosseini. i enjoyed it, but i dont want anything as heavy - literally or figuratively...lol hope everyone is well!

oh, no worries about that! there's this subforum called "Et Cetera", it has a wonderful thread about books in it: http://bulletin.zefrank.com/showthread.php?t=13035
you can also start a new thread on beach reads if you like, i'm sure it'll start off nicely ![]() and do feel free to post about your travels, if you've got any nice photos to share or travel stories or or or anything ![]() |
