It all looks good on Peg. She's disgustingly pretty w/no makeup & wearing her pj's still. *sigh* If only the rest of us could be this lucky.

I haven't had virgin hair since 1987.

Sun In (Super), summer of '87. Grew it out, cause this is the worst possible thing for your hair.

Box of golden blond hair dye, spring of 1990. Took it to the salon to have it done right. I looked good.

Kept dyeing it that color until summer of '94. Bleached it Gwen Stefani blond (Ultress Z5, the lightest color they make). I got lots of compliments, but the ex hated it. I let him choose a color, and

Miss Clairol turned my hair brown with a weird green cast (ash undertones) had to go to the salon to get it fixed. Which leads us to

(breaking up w/the ex after 7 years & lopping off hair that went halfway down my back to just under my ears. No color change. Compliments abound.)

Buttery blond hair, ala Gwyneth Paltrow. Kept it this color until about 1999, when I discovered semi-permanent color. Had a darker buttery blond, flirted with brown for 8 weeks (hated it!) and eventually ended up at

Garnier Lumia #69, Tiger Lily, a strawberry blond.

Pink
Blue
Green
Purple
Black
Blonde
A ton of different reds

Ermmm, stopped the punky colors because it freaked out people I waited on and that equals less money. So I went back to natural. Which is brown and gets some nice streaks when I hang out in the sun long enough...

I have always had beautiful golden blonde hair. Why change a good thing?

I'm sure I'll like shiny silver hair almost as much.

Jet black hair genetically.

Lame.

Generally I frost the tips (well, my g/f does it for me) to leech out the color... Spike it up for a few days...

Then lay in:
Red
Purple
Blue
Green (never again)
or once... just left it blonde/brown

My goatee (chin only, 'mustache' has never come in like I want it... Rhode Island bushy) on the other hand I've had fun with. My favorite was bleaching it all out and leaving it off-white.

The past 6 months I've been wearing a revolving series of hats (current favorite is a skull/crossbones knit cap that allows me to go 'ARRRRR' all damn day) and have grown out my beard (I've found the more homeless I look, the less that is expected of me for the same pay).

So I'm back to jet black again.

Feh.
