Well, my God, Aud, you can't just leave him up there 'til New Year's!

Or can you?

That would be such a swell Christmas tradition to start!

"Oh, yeah, Honey, didn't you see it in Architectural Digest? WHat do you mean, you don't believe me? Look here, my friend Aud's husband is doing it, see the picture? It's the Living Christmas Installation. On the last Friday in November, the man of the house is supposed to go out and sit up in the branches of the tallest tree on the property until after the feast of the Epiphany on January 6th. It's uhhh, symbolic. Of, ummm, you being the founder of the family, from which all your descendants branch. Isn't that cool? Don't worry; I'll send you up sandwiches in a little pail on a rope. What kidding? Honestly, would I kid about something like that? Ohhhh, go on! Get into the spirit of it! Atta boy!"

Ha! He just feels like he lives there. This is our second go at the cherry picker, the first year, he shinnied up the tree with a ladder and did ALL THE BRANCHES WRAPPED IN LIGHTS! We ended up blowin the breakers all down the line, as we were pullin half the amps from the house! If you turned on the oven, there it went. poof. So, we had the guy who rents the other lot ask the power company for another service for himself, and we rob that. Now we can cook and have Christmas lights too.

Dav arrived just after I posted the pic, was probably astounded by the Jed Clampetness of it all, but we are havin a good time! I fed him leftovers and luckily he brought a sleepin bag, cause the studio/guesthouse it still all boxes, sheetrock and sawdust, but we'll find out tomarrow if he slept ok, the chickens screamin to get let out of the henhouse will probably jolt him awake as soon as the sun comes up!
