One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest by Ken Kesey.
I love how it's written. |

finished The Blank Slate by Steven Pinker... finally...
oversimplifying, overreaching, parochial and political in parts but still an interesting read. |

While I Was Gone by Sue Miller.
I don't like it at all. The characters are dull and tortured for no good reason. My roomie recommended it and while it's not awful, it's not very good. But for some reason, I'm unable to not finish a book. |

I am reading Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut yet again. There are some books I just can't get enough of.
Can I get an AMEN from the crowd, yall? |

I hated that book, but I couldn't not finish it either. Man, did she irritate the hell out of me. I attributed it to it being a "chick book" -- or worse an "angry chick book." ![]()

The Robber Bride , Margaret Atwood.
Somewhat reflective of Life Before Man in its minute attention to the self-conscious and superego-driven inner lives of women. Unfortunately, the women are just too dull, however heroic the cast set upon them by the events of the plot, to be carried by even Atwood's usual charm.

Presently reading Jude the Obscure by Thomas Hardy. Very dry and English but oddly enough I am enjoying it and tearing through it.
