The Spiderwick Chronicles
I'm a dork. I like to read young adult series, as long as their fantasy and SF. (It also gives me a point of connection when trying to converse with my younger siblings, of which there are many.)
I highly recommend The Spiderwick Chronicles by Tony DiTerlizzi and Holly Black. So far three of five are out, and they're absolutely delightful. It takes, like, two hours to read one, at least for me. And they're great. The artwork is gorgeous, the kids are real people, and the plots are twisty and imaginative. If you don't want to spend the eight dollars a book, get 'em at the library. You won't be sorry. Trust me. |

Yay! I'm not the only one who reads Spiderwick! I picked the first one up last year when I was shelving books at the local library. Those things are quick reads and the illustrations are beautiful.
