House of Leaves

there's an incredible book called House of Leaves, that's main feature is layered narration. Its so hard to describe, but its a huge labyrinth of a book that ultimately scares the crap out of you and alters your perception of reality. A true literary drug. Mark Z Danielewski is the author.

dumb animation

as, like, a piece of artwork, this is an excellent book
just the style and how it's generated to kind of fvck with you is very pleasing and effective.

but, it's still overambitious which lessens how disturbing it is
i'd like to see him write something else
for no reason at all, it reminds of alex garland -- totally different, but some common element which may be the soundtracks

whatever happened to poe anyway

i just read the intro to this book, and i must say it's very intriguing. I'm going to read it, but mostly just to prove it can't live up to its own hype.
