1. I was named Author of the Year 1999 at http://www.swstory.com

Number one was easilly verifiable....Congrats Laura
June 13th - June 19th Laura of Maychoria HAOT10. Beggars and Thieves

2. I have seven younger siblings, 3 bros, 4 sis, and I love them all despite everything.

This has the ring of truth to it.

3. I drive a 1989 blue Honda Civic. It's a stick shift and currently the back passenger door is smashed in. Today it needs a new battery, so I'm driving my dad's Accord. He doesn't trust me with it all. I think he only gave me the key because I was crying.

..as does this

4. My poetry has been known to cause bleeding from the ears and insane screams of "NO! NO! MAKE IT STOP! MAKE IT STOP!"

I'm betting this is the "mudsucking lie"

5. I sing soprano, and I really like the high parts of Messiah. Especially when we hit high B flat, which is the highest I've ever sung.

Since you know what high b flat is i'm guessing this is true....guessing cuz I don't know what High bflat is...

6. I attend a college which last year had a record-breaking enrollment of 649 students.

I believe this...you seem like "good small town type folk".

7. I'm an honest person in real life, but not strictly myself when given a keyboard. Try to guess which one of these is an utter, horrible, mud-sucking lie. The rest are absolutely true in every detail.

This is my second choice for the lie...I'm guessing that you actually are your "secret self' when at a keyboard...thus this is proabably a lie.

I also watch tv now--at least CSI and Law and Order. The last good book I read was Bag of Bones by Stephen King. The last good movie I saw was Elf. I still like the same music, plus more.

Reading profiles isn't creepy--it's curious! As a curious person myself, I totally sympathize. (I check the profiles of zemonkeys every couple of weeks, actually, just to see if something's changed.)

Well, yeah . . . number 7 isn't strictly true, if you want to go into that . . .

Hee!! Dinz you get half a point, I did start out my first degree in "Wancouver" but finished it up at Western. Then I went to Windsor, and recently back for more at Waterloo.

Yes I'm overeducated and in debt up to my wazoo.

Rob! I caught an owl (screech) with my bare hands yearsnyears ago, I saw him in a hollow tree, covered the hole with my hands, and sent my girlfriend back for a cage, she came back with the cage, and I reached in, grabbed it and put it in the cage, all in one fell swoop, and it unfortunately was a monkey cage, and had big holes, and the thing was gone as fast as it went in. I was disappointed and relieved that I didnt have it, as I wouldnt have known what to do with it, and would have let it go anyway, but I would have liked the chance to study it for a bit.

Now that I live here in FL, there's little burrowing owls about the same size as that other one, and you can walk right by them on the fence posts late at night and they don't move. They'll go get a cockroach or bug right in front of you. They fly silent, so somtimes they swoop by and scare you for a second.

There's great horned ones that show up every once in a while, they sit on the top of the highest trees and hoot.

The thing that spooked the chickens the worst, tho was a great blue heron that sat on top of a tree here, looked like a monster to them, but I had no way to tell them he ate fish. Gawd they're big!

I knew of this guy who worked at a bar, came out late at night, and got hit in the head and knocked out by a great white heron, he felt like he'd been hit with a baseball bat! He woke up in the parking lot, and the bird was dead next to him. Sounds terrible but I couldnt stop laughing.

What th'hells wrong with me!

Goot inspired me to post... I'm a newbie too. ^_^

Things you don't know about me..
1. My hands are my best attribute.
2. I like touching. (fabrics, animals, grains,)
3. I've pet a menagerie of animals from an albino python to a baby corn snake to a Mexican Red knee tarantula.
4. I've been arrested.
5. If I place my right index finger next to my sister's right index finger we have a mole in the same exact spot. (mine is fading though )
5. I like fire. Not the reason for 3.
6. I love the moon.
7. My name means 'history of hot things' in Chinese.
