Best bang for your libation buck is G&S Lounge on S. Lamar. Also the Poodle Dog Lounge (take your own bottle), Lala's Little Nugget and Ego's (also great live music).

if you're into jazz, the elephant room is the best (great sushi restaurant upstairs).
