After 6 years I have a settlement conference date of 06/06/06. It's etched in stone. I have no idea and less care re the $$ amount I will gain on that day....but after 06/06/06 it will be over in that I will be able to say "I did everything I could".

BTW - in the UK we do dates differently. So 7th June this year would be 07.06.06. rather than 06.07.06. I'm sure you all know this -
However, 6th June is the same worldwide as far as I know.
So surely that's a good sign?

It so has to be. Thanks for the good wishes. I guess you would have to wade through a lot of threads to piece together the story but in brief, it is a nasty and soul-destroying medical negligence suit which I have had going on for the last five and a half years.

I didn't know mad - I'm so sorry. I hope it turns out really well for you. Closure, complete healing, complete victory, everything set to rights again.

(June 6 is my wedding anniversary - a date picked only because it has been a good luck day for a couple of generations in my husband's family - no divorce for anybody married on that day, only long, happy marriages - which of course meant we had to get married on a Tuesday.

So far so good, though. You might as well expect good things on that date as any other, right?)

With all the news about China becoming a bigger influence in the world, I was reminded of something a friend told me.

She's in Toronto and went to a chinese market. Her total was $6.66 and she was freaking out so she wanted to add something to change the total to a less superstitious number. The Chinese grocer said "oh no... very good number in China. Extremely lucky!"

I looked this up online and found that in many parts of Asia and apparently even Turkey, the number 666 is very lucky unlike in the Western world.

So maybe 666 isn't the devil coming back but China becoming a super power?
I mean didn't they call Attila the Hun one of the antichrists? and he was from that part of the world...
