i wouldn't mind if it transitioned into a place for links and external content. fast chat doesn't seem like the right sort of place, just based on the kind of content it's typically populated with.

If it can be merged back into fast chat that's okay, I'm not sure how it's different from that now, so I can't see the point of running it separately.
