I am wasting 10 calories on a cup of sugarfree raspberry jello. I'm not hungry for it, but I wanted something sweet & there it was, looking balefully at me from inside the refrigerator.

Putting 'SOC' in tiny, tiny font on the bottom of a memo regarding a particularly difficult family member. It stands for Silly Old Cow.

Actually, not so much guilty as just slightly concerned that some-one will work it out.

Having to let my kids take lumps to learn sometimes. You can explain all you want but there will come a point that the child needs to test your reliability and to start cutting the apron strings.

I am sure your parents made you learn the same way about life. I distinctly remember blowing of my parents advice, and suffering for it. Some things you do have to learn for yourself. Your kids will think you are full of it until they are about 20. Then, they will look back on it and realize that you were right. Hang in there.

Being infatuated with men that other women are infatuated with before they've told me and me not having told anyone.

People confiding in me things that I can't tell my sister because I know she's got a big mouth.

People confiding in me things that I can't talk about, but know that spreading the news would be the best thing.

Whenever I excel in anything, I feel guilty.

And I didn't grow up Catholic.
